This week’s dog is the Bulldog. Bulldogs are short stocky dogs that are around a foot tall at the shoulder, and weigh between 40 and 50 pounds. They live to be 8 to 12 years old. Bulldogs are wide and muscular with broad heads. They have an underbite, so their lower teeth are over their top teeth.
Because of bulldogs build, they are prone to respiratory and joint problems. They can be lazy dogs, but still need plenty of exercise. Bulldogs however, cannot tolerate humidity and heat. They will most likely overeat if given the chance, so their serving sizes need to be monitored closely.
